Internships
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Botswana offers internship opportunities. Who can apply?
Applicants should hold a BA (or higher) degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Economics, International Law, African Studies, Development Studies or other related fields. Applicants should be fluent in spoken and written English.
Duration
The internship duration is three months to ensure that it will be a valuable and sustainable experience.
Tasks and responsibilities during the internship
We expect interns to assist our team in the following areas:
- The organisation of and assistance with workshops, seminars or conference
- Contribution to analytical and strategic planning
- Assistance with report writing
- Administration duties
Compensation
The internship at the FES Botswana is compensated. All expenses, including travel costs, board and lodging, insurance or entry-related costs, remain the applicant's responsibility. Our office will assist in finding suitable housing for the time of your stay.
Liabilities and Applicant’s Responsibilities
The FES assumes no liability for any accidents or damage in connection with the internship. When starting the internship, all interns must sign a declaration of liability, which excludes the FES from any liability concerning the internship to be completed.
It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain necessary insurance (e.g. international health insurance, liability insurance and possibly accident insurance). The applicant must also observe all entry regulations before entering Botswana and obtain any necessary visas.
